Shows in review...

After having a joyous February full of shows and programming, I am happy to review, the good and the not so good.

1. Aluminum Show: I would say that this show was interesting, however there were moments as an adult, I was over it. The kids LOVED every second of it, to them it was fresh, new and exciting. What kid would not enjoying bits of aluminum raining from the ceiling.

2. Spring Awakening: O.M.G. FANTASTIC. This musical is beyond wonderful. If you ever have the opportunity to catch it. GO! It is worth it. The subject matter is defiantly something we have all at one time or another struggled with and it is performed so beautifully that it takes your breath away.

3. Alvin Ailey: Sadly it sold out so quickly I was not able to attend and my heart ached. The reviews were great and the audiences seemed to truly love it.

4. Aisha Tyler: Hilarious!!!! I have enjoyed her since her early days as the host of Talk Soup on the E network. She is warm, charming and so so so funny.

5. Charlotte Symphony: The children had their first Symphony experience and as a mother, I was proud of their attentiveness and ability to take in all the beautiful music. Having a local symphony that plays so beautifully is just one more reason why I love Charlotte, NC
